Salary: $112,710 - $183,140

What you will do

• Implement scalable data pipelines and microservices in Python for real-time and batch processing across enterprise platforms.
• Develop cloud-native data ingestion and streaming solutions using AWS services including Kinesis, S3, DynamoDB, and EventBridge.
• Lead the design and operational excellence of data integration frameworks supporting CI Autonomy initiatives.
• Translate complex business and engineering requirements into scalable data architectures and system designs.
• Establish automated testing, data quality controls, and validation frameworks to ensure ecosystem integrity.
• Perform operational monitoring and root-cause analysis of production platforms using tools like CloudWatch.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering with increasing responsibility.
• Extensive knowledge of backend systems and data pipeline development using Python and Java.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS data services (Kinesis, S3, DynamoDB, EventBridge) at scale.
• Proficiency in SQL, including data quality and validation practices.
• Experience deploying software using CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or Jenkins.
• Must be based in or relocate to Chicago, IL for full-time onsite work.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with the Helios Data Platform.
• Experience developing microservices for real-time data ingestion.
