What you will do

• Build, hire, and develop a high-performing Forward Deployed Engineering organization across AI applications, inference, and infrastructure.
• Establish scalable operating models for partner engagement, technical scoping, and architecture reviews.
• Engage as a senior technical leader with founders, CTOs, and enterprise executives to build strategic partnerships.
• Convert partner engagements into continuous product discovery, ensuring field learnings drive platform improvements and reusable assets.
• Set the technical bar for integrations, proofs of concept, and reference architectures produced by the team.
• Represent the FDE function in platform planning and executive investment decisions.

Requirements

• 12-18+ years of experience in engineering, solutions architecture, or field engineering roles.
• 3-7+ years of experience leading technical field organizations, including scaling or building new functions.
• Strong hands-on background in cloud, infrastructure, AI, or developer platforms.
• Proven track record of converting customer feedback into shipped platform improvements.
• Executive presence and ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior technical leadership.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Strong existing relationships across the AI and cloud ecosystem.
• Experience as a founder, VP of Engineering, or Field CTO.
• Public technical leadership through talks, open source contributions, or developer advocacy.
• Experience building an FDE or Customer Engineering organization from zero to one.
