Salary: $207,000 - $304,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of an agentic platform automating data discovery and metadata enrichment.
• Partner with ML teams to integrate cutting-edge models into scalable production systems.
• Own high-stakes design reviews and ensure production deployments meet Google-scale reliability standards.
• Build and mentor the engineering team at the new NYC hub, establishing a strong technical culture.
• Translate high-level mission goals into concrete technical roadmaps.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, backend infrastructure, or distributed systems.
• 2+ years of formal people management or high-impact tech-lead experience.
• Proven track record of building scalable platforms handling multimodal data.
• Deep understanding of data governance, multi-tenancy, and data-as-a-product philosophies.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model in NYC.

Nice to have

• PhD in Computer Science or related quantitative field.
• Experience in zero-to-one environments or building new engineering sites.
• Background in LLM-orchestrated pipelines or autonomous agent frameworks.
• Experience with geospatial data or physical system modeling.
