Senior Solutions Architect (Financial Services)

Location: Georgia, Massachusetts, New York, or North Carolina; exceptionally well-qualified candidates in other East Coast locations may also be considered. The role includes travel to meet customers in the assigned territory.

Salary: $219,100–$301,300 USD annually, with potential annual performance bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Partner with sales teams to identify customer use cases and explain how the Databricks platform addresses business challenges.
• Provide technical leadership as customers evaluate and adopt Databricks.
• Design big data architectures, execute proof-of-concepts, and validate integrations with cloud services and third-party applications.
• Build and present reference architectures, technical guides, and application demonstrations.
• Promote Apache Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and Unity Catalog through developer communities, meetups, conferences, and webinars.
• Build customer relationships, develop champions, act as a trusted advisor, and travel within the assigned territory.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in customer-facing presales or consulting roles, preferably with big data technologies.
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
• Programming and debugging experience with at least one of Python, SQL, Scala, Java, or R.
• Experience building solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with data engineering technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
• Experience with data warehousing technologies such as SQL, OLTP, OLAP, or DSS, plus an undergraduate degree or higher in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or a related discipline.

Nice to have

• Experience with global system integrators, consulting organizations, financial services technology, or financial services data providers.
