Sr. Staff Technical Program Manager (AI)

What you will do

• Lead the strategy, execution, and deployment of Databricks' internal agentic AI application platform.
• Drive the transition from third-party software procurement to native, scalable products built on the Databricks platform.
• Re-engineer the software development lifecycle by embedding GenAI and intelligent automation into operational workflows.
• Orchestrate complex, company-wide programs across business units, including security hardening and enterprise platform migrations.
• Establish metrics, observability, KPIs, and ROI measurement to improve adoption, employee NPS, and operational value.
• Manage and mentor a team of 3–4 technical program managers while partnering with CIO, VP, R&D Operations, product, and engineering stakeholders.

Requirements

• 10+ years of technical program management experience leading complex technical transformations in SaaS, cloud infrastructure, or Tier-1 technology environments.
• Experience managing high-performing TPM teams while remaining a hands-on technical leader.
• Strong architectural and systems fluency, including distributed systems, large-scale data infrastructure, and environments such as Scala.
• Experience driving structural change from software procurement and RFPs to native product building, engineering design, and fit-gap analysis.
• Executive-level communication skills and experience aligning VP- and C-level stakeholders on engineering trade-offs.
• Experience using SQL, Python, or data notebooks for analytics, system mapping, performance measurement, and program KPIs; bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Nice to have

• Experience deploying GenAI, large language models, or autonomous agents in enterprise platforms or production workflows.
• Familiarity with Lakehouse architecture, Unity Catalog, Mosaic AI, Delta Lake, or comparable data and AI platforms.
• Experience taking internal enterprise tooling through incubation and commercialization as reliable software products.
