What you will do

• Own the architecture of an agent platform supporting long-running, multi-step agents, persistent state, tool integration, enterprise-data access, and production evaluation.
• Define reusable interfaces, engineering patterns, and technical standards for AI applications adopted across the organization.
• Establish reliability, observability, quality, latency, and cost targets for production AI systems.
• Design and implement complex platform components, reference implementations, and critical integrations.
• Evaluate models, frameworks, vendors, and build-versus-buy decisions while shaping a measurable technology roadmap.
• Embed authorization, auditability, privacy, and data governance in partnership with Security, Legal, and Compliance.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including technical leadership of complex production systems.
• Production experience shipping and operating LLM-based or agentic applications with measurable quality, adoption, and business impact.
• Deep knowledge of agent orchestration, tool calling, retrieval and grounding, memory management, durable execution, verification, and evaluation.
• Expert-level Python and experience deploying containerized services on cloud infrastructure with automated delivery pipelines.
• Strong backend and distributed-systems experience, including APIs, asynchronous execution, state management, fault tolerance, and observability.
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-agent systems, verification, adversarial checking, persistent state, recovery, or human-approval mechanisms.
• Experience with multimodal applications, document or engineering-drawing understanding, vision models, or computer-use agents.
• Familiarity with CAD, PLM, simulation, CAE, or physics-informed machine learning.
• Experience with failure analysis, feedback loops, model adaptation, fine-tuning, or AI infrastructure used by multiple teams.
