Bridge Engineer (Civil Engineering)

What you will do

• Lead analysis, design, and detailing for local and state DOT bridge projects under the supervision of senior bridge engineers.
• Prepare project reports and technical documentation.
• Conduct field reconnaissance and bridge inspections.
• Attend project meetings and conferences when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in structural engineering from an ABET-accredited college.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with reinforced concrete and steel design.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and willingness to work in a team environment.
• EIT certification or the ability to obtain it within 12 months is preferred; a PE license is a plus.
• Experience with MicroStation, OpenBridge Modeler, AASHTOWare, AutoCAD, MathCAD, VDOT, and local government projects is a plus.
