TL;DR
Structural Engineer (Industrial): Designing and documenting structural systems for industrial and manufacturing facilities using steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and related construction methods with an accent on code compliance, constructability, and coordinated construction documents. is partnering with an engineering-focused architecture firm delivering facility projects from concept through construction through integrated structural, architectural, and engineering design.
What you will do
- Define structural scope, objectives, and requirements with project stakeholders.
- Perform structural analysis and design for industrial and manufacturing structures using steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and other materials.
- Develop practical, cost-conscious structural solutions based on materials, labor, and construction methods.
- Review drawings and models for accuracy, structural integrity, code compliance, and project requirements.
- Prepare construction specifications and coordinated document packages for contractors.
- Check structural designs and documentation for compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 5–10 years of structural engineering experience, preferably on facility-related and industrial projects.
- Strong experience with steel and concrete design; masonry and wood experience is valuable.
- Proficiency with Revit; experience with RAM or similar structural analysis tools is preferred.
- Knowledge of building codes, ASCE loading requirements, and current steel and concrete codes.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, prioritization, and attention-to-detail skills.
Nice to have
- PE license, with the ability to obtain or maintain licensure in multiple states.
- Experience leading structural engineering projects.
