Entry-Level Structural Engineer

Location: Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, United States. Hybrid schedule with required on-site work at the Mechanicsburg office; a full-time in-office schedule is also available. The selected candidate must work in Mechanicsburg on a scheduled basis.

Salary: USD 75,000–85,000 per year.

What you will do

• Develop structural engineering solutions from initial concepts through detailed design and construction.
• Assist experienced engineers with engineering design tasks.
• Prepare designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematics, and final working drawings.
• Collect, organize, and analyze data to support engineering decisions.
• Use engineering software to solve basic technical problems.
• Contribute to project delivery while following established budgets and schedules.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license required for visits to project sites, clients, and hirify.global offices.
• Must be available to work in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania on a scheduled basis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and attention to detail.
• Basic familiarity with relevant building codes and standards, including AASHTO, IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, ACI 318, ACI 530, and NDS.
• U.S. employment authorization sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Structural engineering concentration in an academic program.
• Internship experience executing structural design projects.
• Experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD, MS Office, or Bluebeam.
• Experience with STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, CSI Bridge, or LUSAS.
• Engineer-in-Training certification or a Master of Science in Structural Engineering.
