Survey Technician

Location: On-site in Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States

What you will do

• Assist survey crew chiefs in the completion of field assignments.
• Operate advanced survey technology including GPS, Robotic Total Stations, UAVs, and high-definition scanners.
• Perform topographic and boundary surveying, construction staking, and structure monitoring.
• Process data and prepare maps using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, and other specialized software.
• Clear brush, drive stakes, and maintain detailed field notes and sketches.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of applicable survey experience preferred.
• Skill in using GPS, Robotic Total Stations, and data collectors.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to carry 30 to 60 pounds of equipment and work in extreme weather environments.
• Ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Carlson, and Inroads software.
