What you will do

• Develop and manage imports for payroll vendor processing and analyze time entry data for accuracy.
• Review employee tax setups, garnishments, and address changes to ensure full regulatory compliance.
• Perform payroll reconciliations and partner with the accounting department to resolve discrepancies.
• Execute SOX controls, maintain documentation, and assist internal and external auditors.
• Generate ad-hoc reports from HRIS and assist with year-end tax balancing and W-2 generation.
• Coordinate adjustments for past corrections, sign-on bonuses, and workers' compensation.

Requirements

• Must be based in New Jersey (Short Hills/Branchville).
• 3-5 years of experience in payroll, accounting, or bookkeeping.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
• Understanding of payroll processes and tax regulations.
• Ability to manage SOX documentation and audit requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with Workday HRIS.
• Report writing experience.
• College degree in accounting or equivalent field.
