What you will do

• Administer and reconcile profit-sharing retrospective program accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Calculate and validate profit-sharing payouts in accordance with contractual agreements.
• Analyze financial and operational data to monitor performance and identify trends or discrepancies.
• Prepare supporting documentation and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support internal and external audit activities to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and improve reporting accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or program analysis.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for analyzing and reconciling large datasets.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting practices.
• Must be authorized to work in the US (as indicated by US-specific benefits like 401k).

Nice to have

• 3+ years of experience in insurance-related financial analysis or participation accounting.
• Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle.
• CPA, CPA candidate, or an advanced degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Proven experience working successfully in a remote or virtual environment.
