What you will do

• Manage collection processes for multiple companies, focusing on problematic debt over 60 days.
• Resolve complex customer queries and disputes while ensuring timely escalation.
• Prepare and review legal documentation including letters before action.
• Compile and distribute weekly financial reports to senior management.
• Lead, mentor, and develop direct reports within the finance team.
• Drive process improvements to increase cash flow and assist with ERP/CRM system implementations.

Requirements

• Must be based in the UK with the ability to travel to sites as needed.
• Proven experience as a Senior Credit Controller in a multi-site or acquisition-heavy environment.
• Strong understanding of credit management principles, risk assessment, and debt recovery.
• High level of proficiency in Excel.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder management.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Nice to have

• Professional qualification such as CICM.
• Experience with Microsoft Great Plains or Credit Hound software.
