Senior Gas Project Engineer (Natural Gas)

Location: Plainville, Massachusetts, United States; Workplace: On-site

What you will do

• Serve as a consultant for utility clients on natural gas transmission and distribution projects.
• Design main and service replacements, system improvements, pressure upgrades, facility and regulator stations, gate stations, critical crossings, and horizontal directional drilling projects.
• Produce AutoCAD basemaps, construction drawings, bills of materials, material specifications, O&M manuals, and as-built records.
• Perform engineering calculations, alternative analyses, risk assessments, code reviews, compliance audits, and DIMP/TIMP planning.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, municipalities, regulatory agencies, landowners, and other project stakeholders, including permitting and right-of-way activities.
• Supervise, mentor, and train junior staff while supporting business development and internal procedures.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience demonstrated through previous employment, including at least 10 years in the natural gas industry with an operator or consultant.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil, mechanical, or a closely related engineering field.
• Professional Engineer license and/or GTI Competent Engineer Certification preferred.
• Experience with natural gas transmission and distribution, integrity, pipeline, or facilities engineering preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, prioritization, budgeting, and multitasking skills.
• Valid driver’s license, safe driving history, ability to carry 10 lbs. through difficult terrain, and ability to pass a client background check required.
