Facilities Tool, Gas & Exhaust Senior Engineer

Location: On-site at hirify.global’s Normandale campus in Bloomington and Edina, Minnesota, United States. Travel: None.

Salary: $92,310.40–$131,996.80 base salary per year.

What you will do

• Own toxic gas distribution, hazardous exhaust, gas monitoring, abatement, and related facility systems supporting semiconductor wafer fabrication.
• Coordinate tool installations, gas tie-ins, exhaust modifications, capacity expansion projects, and utility infrastructure upgrades.
• Develop utility capacity models and long-range infrastructure plans for fab growth and technology roadmaps.
• Maintain utility maps, P&IDs, one-line diagrams, system schematics, CAD drawings, and accurate as-built documentation.
• Support gas detection, alarms, interlocks, emergency response, Process Hazard Analyses, risk assessments, and Management of Change activities.
• Lead reliability improvements, root-cause investigations, preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, and energy-reduction initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience with toxic gas distribution, hazardous exhaust, gas monitoring infrastructure, gas cabinets, VMBs, and automated facility control systems.
• Experience supporting process equipment installations and coordinating facility utilities in semiconductor fabrication facilities.
• Understanding of 200mm or 300mm semiconductor wafer fab utility systems and specialty gases, including pyrophoric, toxic, corrosive, and inert gases.
• Experience with point-of-use and centralized abatement systems and with interpreting or developing P&IDs, utility schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of SEMI standards, including SEMI S2, semiconductor facility safety practices, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Facilities Engineering, or a related technical discipline, plus 5–8 years of experience.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, or comparable engineering documentation tools.
