Energy Project Manager

Location: On-site in New York or White Plains, New York, United States

Salary: $100,000–$175,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage the full lifecycle of energy projects from initiation through closeout, including scope, schedules, budgets, procurement, and stakeholder coordination.
• Lead interdisciplinary teams and develop solutions to technical problems.
• Supervise the preparation of construction documents and coordinate design information.
• Present concepts to clients and represent hirify.global in external discussions.
• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
• Track project performance, risks, change orders, budgets, timelines, and energy savings while ensuring safety, quality, environmental, and agency compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 5+ years of project management experience in energy, utilities, renewables, or construction.
• Demonstrated experience managing energy efficiency, renewable energy, or building decarbonization projects.
• Technical knowledge of energy systems, HVAC, renewables, and building performance.
• Proficiency with project management tools, budgeting, and data analysis.
• Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in the NYC market and familiarity with local laws such as LL88 and LL97.
• Experience with DCAS, NYC DOE, NYPA, or other public agencies.
• PMP, DBIA, PE, or CEM certification.
