What you will do

• Manage complex claims for Public Entities, School Boards, and specialty groups from inception to conclusion.
• Evaluate and resolve coverage issues for Law Enforcement Agencies and School Boards to maintain technical standards.
• Investigate claims through telephone, written correspondence, and personal contact with claimants, attorneys, and witnesses.
• Analyze claim trends and present liability assessments and ultimate exposure to leadership.
• Negotiate and resolve claims within delegated authority utilizing appropriate denials or releases.
• Plan and conduct claims reviews and settlement conferences to mediate disputes.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• College degree required; Law degree or MBA preferred.
• 8+ years of casualty claims handling experience.
• Minimum 5 years experience handling complex cases with a primary P&C carrier.
• Proven experience handling Public Entity Professional Liability, Police Professional Liability, and Employment Practices Liability claims.
• Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license.
