What you will do

• Adjudicate and resolve professional liability claims, including litigated matters.
• Document claim files in compliance with company policies and regulatory authorities.
• Communicate directly with claimants and attorneys to resolve disputes.
• Draft coverage letters, including reservation of rights and denial letters.
• Analyze claims to determine appropriate and timely reserving per best practices.
• Manage defense counsel for litigated cases and identify suspected fraudulent claims.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of claims handling experience in Professional Liability or Specialty claims with an insurance carrier.
• Active insurance adjuster’s license.
• B.A./B.S degree from an accredited College or University (JD is a plus).
• Advanced knowledge of claims analysis, adjusting practices, and legal filings.
• Proven ability to effectively negotiate settlement of moderate complexity claims.
• Must be based in one of the designated US office locations for a hybrid schedule (minimum 2 days/week).
