What you will do

• Lead, coach, and supervise unionized maintenance staff to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Oversee operation and performance of building systems, including HVAC, BAS, boilers, chillers, and electrical infrastructure.
• Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance programs, corrective repairs, shutdowns, and capital projects.
• Manage contractors and maintenance vendors to ensure quality and safety compliance.
• Maintain regulatory documentation, certifications, and asset records.
• Utilize CMMS tools to track work orders and drive continuous improvement in facility operations.

Requirements

• Valid Ontario second class stationary engineers certificate or Building operator certificate or trade license (Millwright, Electrician, Plumber or Steam fitter) or equivalent.
• Minimum of Community College (CET equivalent) degree.
• 5-10 years of leadership experience in the facilities management field.
• 5-7 years of progressive facility maintenance or plant operations experience.
• Previous experience managing unionized maintenance staff.
• Strong background in mechanical and HVAC systems, including the ability to read electrical and control drawings.
