Energy Engineer - III (Energy Efficiency): Identifying and implementing energy-saving opportunities across commercial and industrial facilities with an accent on engineering analysis and energy conservation measures. Location: Remote based in British Columbia, Canada (preference for Lower Mainland); requires approximately 20% annual travel.

Compensation: $94,300 - $163,400 CAD

What you will do

• Perform energy audits and engineering studies in commercial, institutional, and industrial environments, with a strong focus on industrial sites.
• Calculate energy savings using engineering principles, including thermodynamics, mechanics, and fan laws.
• Execute Measurement & Verification (M&V) activities, including data collection, consumption analysis, and reporting.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and recommendations explaining energy-saving opportunities and expected impacts.
• Conduct site visits for audits and coaching, including the installation and removal of data loggers.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of engineering deliverables to ensure accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or Process).
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation.
• 5+ years of experience in energy management, energy engineering, or a related field.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada without employer sponsorship.
• Ability to travel nationwide approximately 20% of the time.

Nice to have

• Measurement & Verification certification (e.g., CMVP).
• Experience with energy data logging, sub-metering, and interval data.
• Experience supporting utility-driven demand-side management (DSM) or energy conservation programs.
• Valid driver’s license.
