In-Home Tutor (Calculus)

Location: On-site tutoring in Stockton, California, United States; must be able to commute to Stockton

Salary: $35–$40 per hour, negotiable

What you will do

• Conduct engaging 1:1 in-home tutoring sessions for a college student.
• Teach college-level calculus concepts and problem-solving.
• Adapt materials, examples, and teaching methods to the student’s learning style and academic goals.
• Track and document progress, adjusting instruction to reinforce understanding.
• Communicate with parents or guardians about progress and questions.
• Create a supportive, positive, and student-focused learning environment.

Requirements

• Previous tutoring experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Must be comfortable working in person with a college student in Stockton.
• Must be comfortable teaching college-level calculus.
• Ability to make learning interactive and student-focused.
• Ability to pass an in-person background check if required.
