Educational Consultant - Per Diem - (Math K-6) - NYC, NY

Location: Based in New York, NY; candidates must live within 30 miles of the posting city or be open to relocation. This is not a remote position. Own transportation and a valid driver's license are required. Travel up to 80% is required, including overnight stays and travel by car, plane, or public transportation.

Compensation: Starting at $65 per hour for educator-facing professional learning delivery, with additional compensation for preparation, co-facilitation, internal meetings, travel, and other required activities.

What you will do

• Deliver on-site mathematics professional development, product training, and support for teachers, coaches, and school leaders.
• Adjust professional development workshops within defined parameters to meet participant needs.
• Support implementation of Ready and i-Ready to improve classroom learning and equity.
• Provide tailored lesson-planning, pacing, instructional, and data-analysis support.
• Work with school leaders to identify implementation successes and challenges.
• Complete internal professional improvement activities, training notes, and assignments on time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience teaching mathematics, coaching mathematics teachers, and delivering mathematics professional development.
• Must have K–6 mathematics coaching experience and be based in or open to relocating to New York, NY.
• Strong knowledge of Common Core State Standards for Mathematics for Grades 6–8, including content and practice standards.
• Experience using digital tools and online assessments, with the ability to analyze and apply data with educators and leaders.
• Understanding of adult learning principles and their application to professional development.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills; a valid driver's license and own transportation are required.
