Part-Time Teacher (World Languages)

Location: Remote within the listed U.S. states: Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, and West Virginia. Must be eligible to work in the U.S. Regular availability is expected during 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. MT, with a preferred schedule of 25–27 hours per week.

Salary: $25 per hour and up, commensurate with qualifications.

What you will do

• Support an assigned group of students while taking on additional tutoring, small-group instruction, or program responsibilities as needed.
• Work synchronously with students in one-to-one, small-group, and large-group settings.
• Mentor and tutor students, create engaging learning activities, and tailor resources to individual needs.
• Review and grade learning logs, providing timely and actionable feedback.
• Identify at-risk students, coordinate interventions, and communicate with parents and families.
• Attend IEP meetings as needed and collaborate with teachers and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Current Iowa teaching certification with a World Languages endorsement.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of individualized learning and the ability to provide patient, organized, and dependable support.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace and confidence learning online tools and systems.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Access to a smartphone, high-speed internet, computer, and webcam.

Nice to have

• Experience in non-traditional educational programs.
• Residency in Iowa.
