Quality Electrical Engineer (Automotive)

What you will do

• Manage warranty center operations, including shipping, receiving, and troubleshooting defective e-PT components.
• Perform tear-downs and failure analysis on returned products to determine root causes.
• Maintain and operate test equipment such as EOL, Charger/Dischargers, and Leak Testers.
• Lead APQP activities and coordinate PPAP documentation (PFD, PCP, PFMEA) for customer approval.
• Collaborate with internal teams locally and overseas and prepare technical reports using 8D and other quality methodologies.
• Oversee quality issues, including field support, Plant Liaison, and RMA process management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Electrical/Electronics Application or Test Engineering.
• Proficiency in Quality Engineering Root Cause Analysis and methodologies (TS16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC).
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and understanding of PCBA.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Ability to travel up to 10% and perform physical tasks including lifting parts up to 60 lbs.

Nice to have

• Technical knowledge of automotive electronics and Electric Vehicle (EV) components.
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) certification.
• Ability to read programming languages such as C or Visual Basic.
• Experience with OEM quality-related processes and requirements.
