Engineer I-Quality (Manufacturing)

Location: MA - Beverly Tozer, United States; onsite manufacturing role with 0–25% domestic and international travel.

Annual base salary: $65,000–$85,000 USD, plus total compensation components including restricted stock units and quarterly bonuses.

What you will do

• Support operations by identifying, analyzing, and resolving product and process problems using Six Sigma methodologies.
• Audit manufactured goods, purchased materials, suppliers, and processes for compliance with engineering, manufacturing, and configuration-control standards.
• Support contract-manufacturer product transfers, new product introduction, and engineering change management.
• Perform First Article Inspections for PCB assemblies, prefabricated parts, sheet-metal parts, and systems.
• Analyze root causes and corrective actions for failures and nonconformities using the Agile PLM system.
• Coordinate with suppliers, inspectors, engineering, and management to resolve quality issues and report trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field with 0–3 years of quality experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with printed circuit board design or electronic assemblies.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma and 8D methodologies, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action implementation.
• Experience with quality and LEAN processes, techniques, and methodologies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
• Must provide proof of US citizenship, permanent US residency, or protected-individual classification under US export-control requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with military and space customers, standards, or specifications.
• Knowledge of Minitab SPC.
• Knowledge of ISO, TL9000, AS9100, GD&T, IPC-610, or J-STD-001.
