Electrical Engineer II (Automotive)

Location: Onsite in High Point, North Carolina, United States. Applicants must be able to work in or relocate to High Point. Relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $86,000–$110,000 USD per year, depending on knowledge, skills, and experience.

Develops and manufactures trucks, buses, vehicle systems, and transportation technologies, including electric, hydrogen, and autonomous solutions.

What you will do

• Design, validate, and integrate electrical systems for school and commercial buses.
• Develop 3D models, installation drawings, schematics, and bills of materials.
• Research vehicle-industry developments and apply new technologies to create cost-effective production solutions.
• Support production, warranty reduction, and field-service corrective actions with reliable and serviceable designs.
• Prototype systems, perform development testing, and apply test results to new designs.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Field Service, Quality, Purchasing, Test, and design teams while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechatronics, automotive engineering, or a related science from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 3+ years of related experience, including automotive design and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes and their downstream impacts.
• Ability to identify root causes and solve complex problems.
• Strong written and verbal communication, teamwork, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States at the time of application. Visa sponsorship is available only to current hirify.global employees working under an existing U.S. hirify.global visa.

Nice to have

• Experience with CAN communication network protocols.
• Project management experience.
• Experience with Matlab/Simulink.
• Experience with 3D CAD or PLM software and bill-of-material development.
