Senior Program Manager (Automotive)

Location: Troy, Michigan, United States; local travel to customer facilities and overseas business travel are required.

What you will do

• Create development timing plans and manage activities through successful program launch.
• Coordinate the release of electric vehicle component hardware and software to OEM customers.
• Track deliverables, milestones, open issues, and program performance across cross-functional teams.
• Lead customer, supplier, and internal meetings; communicate development status and coordinate timely issue resolution.
• Maintain program status reports and provide program updates to leadership.
• Support engineering issue resolution, investigate new business opportunities, and communicate customer feedback internally.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or electronic engineering.
• At least 5 years of program management experience working directly with automotive customers.
• Understanding of automotive component development and manufacturing processes.
• Good knowledge of OEM processes and requirements.
• Proficiency with MS Project and MS Office.
• Understanding of cost structures; participation in evening meetings with global teams is required.

Nice to have

• PMP certification from PMI.
• Comprehensive OEM or Tier 1 automotive experience.
• Experience with management tools.
