Program Manager (IoT)

Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid schedule with in-office work required on Wednesdays and Thursdays and as needed

Salary: CAD 95,000–115,000 per year, plus eligibility for short-term and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end program planning, milestones, dependencies, schedules, and delivery timelines.
• Lead cross-functional hardware and software programs from concept development through production readiness and market launch.
• Coordinate engineering, product management, design, research, manufacturing, and go-to-market teams.
• Track execution and identify schedule, technical, and resourcing risks early, working with stakeholders to mitigate them.
• Maintain program documentation, schedules, action-item logs, status updates, and stakeholder reports.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for program communications with senior leadership.

Requirements

• At least three years of program management experience working directly with hardware and software engineering teams.
• Experience managing programs across multiple cross-functional technical functions and delivering complex hardware programs from concept through production.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong technical program management, cross-functional alignment, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheet.
• Ability to participate in highly technical discussions, understand trade-offs and constraints, and establish scalable processes.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience with consumer IoT, home security, energy technology products, and connected devices.
• Exposure to software and firmware development practices, including end-to-end embedded through mobile development teams.
• Experience analyzing complex technical problems and developing innovative solutions.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
