What you will do

• Manage the end-to-end buy for the switchboard category, including metals, busbars, electrical components, and subassemblies.
• Execute RFI/RFQ processes, negotiate supplier contracts, and manage purchase orders to maintain tight delivery schedules.
• Develop and implement a commodity strategy focusing on cost reduction and delivery performance.
• Manage risks for long lead-time items through buffer strategies and alternate sourcing to prevent production disruptions.
• Track and report supplier performance regarding quality, cost, and responsiveness.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or commodity management, preferably in electrical or metals-based manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience running RFI/RFQ processes and negotiating supplier contracts.
• Track record of managing long lead-time and supply-constrained categories.
• Ability to read BOMs and component specifications to support sourcing decisions.
• Proficiency with ERP and procurement systems for PO management.
• Must be based in Long Beach, CA, and available for 25% travel.
