Staff Strategic Sourcing Manager (Logistics)

Location: Remote within the United States; candidates residing in Alaska, Delaware, Iowa, Mississippi, Nebraska, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, or Wisconsin are not considered.

Salary: $169,150–$230,000 annually, depending on US compensation region, location, skills, experience, and market conditions.

What you will do

• Own sourcing strategy and commercial execution for logistics, warehousing, freight, returns, and related operational categories.
• Lead RFQ, RFP, competitive bidding, supplier selection, pricing negotiations, SLA alignment, contract terms, and multi-year agreements.
• Deliver cost reductions through supplier benchmarking, cost modeling, and vendor negotiations across freight, 3PL, and returns providers.
• Build dashboards, cost models, and reporting workstreams for spend, savings, supplier performance, and cost drivers.
• Establish supplier KPIs and scorecards covering cost, service, quality, on-time performance, and responsiveness.
• Partner with Logistics, Finance, Operations, and Program teams to align sourcing decisions with service requirements, launch timelines, forecasts, and business priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
• 8–10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, category management, or supply chain, including ownership of indirect spend categories.
• Proven experience in supplier negotiations, RFQ/RFP management, and contracting.
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, project management, communication, and stakeholder-influence skills.
• Experience sourcing logistics, freight, warehousing, 3PL, returns, or related operational services.
• Advanced knowledge of global trade compliance, tariffs, regulatory requirements, Incoterms, freight forwarding, and global supply chain networks.

Nice to have

• Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment or in consumer electronics, medical devices, consumer products, or similarly complex physical products.
• Experience managing suppliers across North America, Europe, and Asia.
• Knowledge of procurement, ERP, and supply chain systems.
