Location: Ideally based in San Francisco, Long Beach, or Houston (Hybrid/Onsite); remote exceptions possible for exceptional talent within the USA.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end process from site selection to construction readiness.
• Drive zoning, land use approvals, and variances through local and state agencies.
• Lead negotiations with power providers, water districts, and telecom utilities.
• Manage environmental assessments and coordinate agency approvals through to clearance.
• Represent hirify.global at public hearings and build community relationships.
• Maintain detailed development schedules and track critical path milestones.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Planning, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience delivering complex multi-agency infrastructure projects.
• Proven expertise in managing entitlements, permitting, and utility coordination.
• Strong technical literacy for collaboration with civil, electrical, and structural engineers.
• Exceptional relationship-building skills with government and community stakeholders.
• Must be based in the USA.

Nice to have

• Background in hyperscale data center or other large-scale industrial development.
• Experience in oil & gas, LNG, or petrochemical industries.
• Track record of compressing development timelines through creative regulatory strategies.
• Previous experience on the owner's side of development.
• Knowledge of utility interconnection processes and power provider negotiations.
