Manager, DC Development (AMERS)

Location: Americas; remote-first workplace. Travel of up to 25% may be required.

Salary: $110,000–$165,000 USD base salary per year, plus potential bonus, equity, and/or commission.

What you will do

• Manage AI data center development projects from site control through due diligence, entitlements, permitting, design coordination, and Final Investment Decision.
• Build and maintain development plans, budgets, schedules, milestone tracking, and risk registers.
• Coordinate energy and power, design, preconstruction, finance, and sales workstreams, including utility interconnection and self-generation power procurement.
• Manage title, survey, geotechnical, environmental, zoning, and utility studies, as well as land acquisition and site-control transactions.
• Direct external consultants, engineers, design partners, legal advisers, and permitting specialists.
• Represent projects in public hearings, utility meetings, internal reviews, and other stakeholder engagements while mentoring associates and analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in real estate, engineering, construction management, finance, a relevant discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
• 3+ years of experience in data center, commercial real estate, or infrastructure development, with experience advancing complex projects toward construction.
• Hands-on experience with site control, due diligence, entitlements, permitting, design coordination, development budgets, and schedules.
• Experience contributing to Final Investment Decision or capital approval packages.
• Working knowledge of power, utility interconnection, and data center deliverability.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and external partners; proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Data center or mission-critical facility development experience.
• Experience presenting projects at public hearings, planning commissions, or city council meetings.
• Familiarity with self-generation or behind-the-meter power strategies for large-load sites.
