Technical Project Manager, Facilities

Location: Virtual US / East Coast Time Zone; New York, NY preferred. Domestic and international travel may be required, generally not exceeding 20%.

Salary: $104,000–$183,000 base compensation annually, with possible commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.

What you will do

• Lead workplace design, construction, renovation, infrastructure, and facilities improvement projects from planning through commissioning, turnover, and closeout.
• Manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, forecasts, procurement, change controls, risks, governance, reporting, and escalations.
• Provide technical leadership across HVAC, electrical, lighting, controls, plumbing, life safety, building automation, metering, and related infrastructure.
• Develop global facilities standards, specifications, design criteria, implementation guidelines, and performance requirements.
• Integrate sustainability, energy efficiency, environmental compliance, physical security, and life-safety requirements into projects and operations.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, landlords, vendors, regional facilities teams, and senior stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, facilities management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in facilities, design, engineering, construction, or project management involving complex commercial workplace projects.
• Strong knowledge of commercial building systems, construction methods, project controls, facilities operations, and technical documentation.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, forecasts, procurement, risks, change controls, commissioning, and operational turnover.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001, sustainability, energy management, building codes, workplace safety, accessibility, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work virtually from the United States while supporting East Coast Time Zone collaboration and occasional meetings outside normal business hours.

Nice to have

• Owner’s Representative experience or experience managing global and multi-regional project portfolios.
• PMP, LEED AP, PE, RA, CFM, or equivalent certification or licensure.
• Experience with LEED, ESG, energy management, commissioning, building automation, metering, facilities analytics, BIM, AutoCAD, or project-management platforms.
• Experience developing global technical standards, specifications, playbooks, or design guidelines.
