Product Compliance Staff Engineer (Regulatory Certification)

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end certification processes from requirements definition and testing through certification and product launch.
• Define and execute certification strategies across LATAM, North America, Europe, and Asia.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, product safety, EMC, RF/wireless, labeling, and market access requirements.
• Coordinate external laboratories and certification bodies, including test planning, quotations, purchase orders, sample readiness, and report approval.
• Provide regulatory guidance during product development, assess compliance risks, and identify gaps.
• Manage technical documentation, declarations of conformity, certification records, renewals, updates, sustaining approvals, audits, and inspections.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
• 5–8+ years of experience in product compliance, regulatory engineering, or certification roles.
• Hands-on experience with EMC, RF, product safety compliance, global market access, and Mexico NOM certification.
• Experience managing global certification and compliance programs.
• Background in telecommunications, broadband or cable networks, optical networking, network equipment manufacturing, semiconductor or electronic components, or wireless infrastructure.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, ownership, and organizational skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with FCC, CE, UKCA, CB Scheme, CRT, ANATEL, Subtel, Inmetro, and other international approvals.
• Experience with RoHS, REACH, WEEE, PFAS, responsible sourcing, ESG reporting, and Extended Producer Responsibility.
