Product Quality Excellence (Switchgear)

Location: Santiago de Querétaro, Mexico. On-site factory support and 50–70% travel across switchgear manufacturing sites in the United States, Mexico, and Brazil are required.

What you will do

• Deploy Total Quality Management methodology across switchgear manufacturing factories in the Americas.
• Apply technical expertise in AIS and GIS switchgear, circuit breakers, bus systems, insulation and gas systems, control wiring, testing, and final inspection.
• Lead FMEA, control-plan, 8D, containment, corrective-action, and structured root-cause-analysis activities.
• Translate drawings, specifications, critical-to-quality characteristics, and applicable requirements into effective manufacturing and test controls.
• Analyze production, testing, nonconformance, rework, warranty, and field-service data to identify systemic improvements.
• Develop preventive improvement plans and digital quality dashboards, coach factory teams, and standardize best practices across sites.

Requirements

• Engineering or manufacturing experience with AIS or GIS switchgear, including live-tank or dead-tank circuit breakers.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, industrial engineering, quality management, or a related technical field.
• Ability to interpret and challenge switchgear drawings, bills of material, specifications, manufacturing instructions, test procedures, and electrical-equipment standards.
• Strong knowledge of critical-to-quality characteristics, inspection and test controls, traceability, workmanship standards, and nonconformance management.
• Experience with TQM, Lean, Six Sigma, FMEA, 8D, statistical methods, process-capability tools, cross-functional problem solving, organizational change, and coaching.
• Professional English proficiency, on-site factory support, and 50–70% travel are required.
