What you will do

• Own end-to-end fiber and telecom procurement from initial site feasibility through carrier contracts and service activation.
• Negotiate competitive pricing and service terms with Tier 1 and regional carriers, dark fiber providers, and colocation partners.
• Lead telecom due diligence during site selection, assessing fiber availability, routing, and lead times.
• Drive the design and delivery of meet-me rooms (MMRs), fiber vaults, and on-site telecom distribution systems.
• Manage telecom budgets, vendor contracts, and service agreements across the entire portfolio.
• Partner with network engineering to align physical infrastructure with capacity planning and redundancy requirements.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in fiber procurement, telecom infrastructure, or carrier relations, specifically in data center or mission-critical environments.
• Deep knowledge of dark fiber, lit services, DWDM, carrier-neutral facilities, and last-mile delivery.
• Proven ability to negotiate complex carrier agreements, IRUs, and dark fiber leases.
• Experience managing telecom infrastructure delivery from design through commissioning.
• Strong project management skills to track multiple concurrent fiber orders across geographies.
• Ability to interpret telecom construction drawings, conduit plans, and site layouts.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting hyperscale, colocation, or wholesale data center development.
• Existing carrier and dark fiber provider relationships in key US markets.
• Familiarity with BGP, IP transit, peering, and redundancy design.
• Exposure to international fiber markets or cross-border connectivity procurement.
