Design Manager (Data Center)

Location: Remote; authorization to work in the United States is required

What you will do

• Lead design management for hyperscale and AI data center developments from site selection through construction and commissioning.
• Manage architectural and engineering consultants across schematic design, design development, construction documents, and permitting.
• Coordinate civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and telecommunications disciplines.
• Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and design changes while driving schedules and consultant deliverables.
• Conduct constructability reviews, value engineering, risk mitigation, and long-lead equipment specification validation.
• Partner with development, construction, procurement, operations, and executive stakeholders on project execution and turnover.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience managing complex commercial, industrial, or mission-critical design projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams for data centers, semiconductor, healthcare, or other critical infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and mission-critical infrastructure.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Licensed Architect or Professional Engineer credentials.
• Experience with AI, hyperscale, or cloud data center developments.
• Familiarity with commissioning, integrated project delivery, value engineering, lifecycle costing, or sustainable design.
