Field Service Lead (Electrical Systems)

Location: Ashburn, Virginia; Atlanta, Georgia; Jacksonville, Florida; North Carolina; United States. On-site customer and field service work with occasional travel of up to 75% to regional offices and vendor sites.

What you will do

• Lead start-up and commissioning activities for electrical equipment across multiple customer sites.
• Supervise, coach, mentor, and provide technical support to approximately eight field service technicians.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting support for electrical equipment, controls, and field issues.
• Coordinate tools, materials, documentation, staffing, punch lists, and project closeout activities.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, production, commercial, and administration teams to resolve issues and quality concerns.
• Participate in training, factory witness tests, shop testing, and other field service activities.

Requirements

• Associate degree, vocational training, military experience, or equivalent experience with power distribution systems and related equipment.
• At least two years of field service experience focused on electrical equipment start-up and commissioning.
• Experience with switchgear, electrical distribution systems, or electrical control systems.
• Understanding of lock-out/tag-out procedures involving multiple power sources.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to bend, lift, and carry equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Prior supervisory or lead-level experience.
• Familiarity with advanced communication protocols and networking concepts.
