TL;DR

Business Analysis Analyst (Government): Providing data analysis and systems support for multiple software products and production environments with an accent on payroll and compensation systems. Location: On-site in Charleston, SC. Must be a U.S. citizen and be able to undergo a background investigation to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.

Salary: $55,000 – $75,000 per year

What you will do

• Analyze customers' business processes and practices in assigned technical and functional areas.
• Act as a liaison between payroll user departments, DBA groups, and software development teams to support requirements and implementation.
• Extract, query, transform, and present data from systems and databases using SQL and spreadsheets.
• Identify gaps in business processes or software functionality and facilitate solution development.
• Review test plans to ensure business processes and user requirements are satisfied.
• Support project initiatives utilizing standard project management methodology.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant experience in business analysis.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory for security clearance purposes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
• BA/BS degree or relevant experience in a technical, analytical, or financial domain.

Nice to have

• 2+ years of experience with Oracle PeopleSoft Payroll.
• Experience with HRMS or Payroll software.
• Experience using Microsoft VBA, SQL Developer, or similar RDBMS tools.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access.
• Lean Six Sigma or PMP certification.
