Senior Business Analyst (Supply Chain Analytics)

Location: On-site in Trumbull, CT or Livingston, NJ, United States; up to 10% domestic travel may be required.

Starting base pay: $100,000–$110,000 per year.

What you will do

• Own supply chain business problems and translate requirements into analyses, reports, KPIs, data models, and decision-support tools.
• Build pragmatic Excel, Power Query, SQL, and Power BI solutions while transitioning recurring manual work toward scalable automation.
• Develop and maintain Power BI semantic models, datasets, dashboards, and KPI frameworks for inventory visibility, demand planning, operational efficiency, and service levels.
• Investigate process and data issues, perform reconciliations and QA, validate end-to-end data lineage, and document root causes and resolutions.
• Lead reporting initiatives through intake, discovery, requirements, build, QA/UAT, release, training, adoption, and enhancement.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, Data Engineering, IT, Operations, Engineering, Sales, Finance, R&D, and management while mentoring Business Analysts.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, business analysis, or related roles.
• Experience or strong knowledge of Supply Chain, including inventory, planning, manufacturing or operations, logistics, or service levels.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Data/Analytics, Programming, Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field, or equivalent experience.
• Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, Power Query, pivot tables, data validation, reconciliation, scenario analysis, and maintainable operational tools.
• Intermediate Power BI and DAX proficiency, including report design, data modeling, visualization, and performance optimization.
• Experience building operational Excel tools, reconciliations, trackers, or semi-automated reporting solutions for business users.
• Experience with ERP or operational systems for data validation, transaction-level reconciliation, and root-cause investigation.
• Strong analytical, communication, cross-functional collaboration, prioritization, documentation, and data-quality skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English and successful completion of an applicable employment and education background check.

Nice to have

• VBA or macros, Python, SAP BusinessObjects, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 or a comparable ERP platform.
• Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst certification or equivalent training.
• Microsoft Excel certification or advanced Excel training.
• Data visualization training.
• PMP or agile project management training.
