What you will do

• Manage the testing environment and secure high-voltage areas before starting procedures.
• Execute ground bond and Hi-Pot (Dielectric Voltage Withstand) testing sequences.
• Verify breaker ratings and components against electrical single-line diagrams (SLD) and wiring schematics.
• Perform live functionality tests using 480VAC utility sources to validate system components.
• Apply final safety labeling and warning stickers to switchboard equipment.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience testing switchboards or switchgear systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical single-line diagrams (SLDs) and wiring schematics.
• Basic electrical engineering education or direct experience with UL891 switchboard standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Long Beach, CA.

Nice to have

• Technical trade certification or vocational training in a related field.
