Salary: $160,000 - $210,000 /yr + stock options, 401k matching, and other benefits

What you will do

• Build and maintain high-performance JavaScript/React code to command and monitor a fleet of USVs.
• Design and implement UI that presents complex vessel data clearly for both experienced and first-time operators.
• Collaborate with roboticists, test engineers, and field operators to refine features based on real-world feedback.
• Improve and extend testing, deployment, and monitoring infrastructure.
• Mentor teammates and help guide the team’s technical direction and engineering practices.
• Make occasional trips to local launch points to deepen understanding of issues and use cases.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing SPAs/PWAs with modern frameworks (e.g., React, WebComponents, Vue).
• Strong UI/UX design principles and experience with UI/UX tools.
• Proven experience iterating on released customer-facing projects used actively in the field.
• Command of software engineering principles including testing, deployment, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency working with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, time-series databases).
• U.S. person eligibility required for export control (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or asylee/refugee status) and ability to obtain a security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with real-time data, control systems, or physical robotics platforms.
• Background in maritime systems or mission control environments.
• Familiarity with mapping APIs (e.g., Leaflet, Cesium).
• Experience with data visualization or telemetry dashboards.
