BIM Lead (Data Center)

TL;DR

BIM Lead (Data Center): Overseeing the development and integration of Building Information Models across a portfolio of mission-critical data center construction projects. Focus on coordinating multidisciplinary stakeholders, enforcing model integrity, and driving workflows that ensure speed, accuracy, and constructability in high-density infrastructure environments.

Location: Must be based in the USA. Ideally based in San Francisco, Long Beach, or Houston with hybrid expectations (onsite with bi-weekly WFH Fridays), though exceptions are considered for exceptional talent.

What you will do

• Develop, manage, and update BIM models for design, construction, and operational handover.
• Coordinate with architects, structural, MEP, and civil engineers to ensure model accuracy and consistency.
• Conduct clash detection and lead the resolution of coordination issues using Navisworks and Revit.
• Create and enforce BIM standards, protocols, and BIM Execution Plans (BEP) across all projects.
• Perform quality control checks and model audits to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Provide technical support and training to project teams on BIM processes and workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in BIM coordination and management in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, building systems, and industry standards.
• Must be authorized to work in the USA.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting data center, mission-critical, or industrial construction projects.
• Certification in BIM (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional).
• Experience with BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or Revizto.
• Familiarity with Dynamo, Revit family creation, or BIM automation tools.
• Working knowledge of MEP systems coordination in high-density power and cooling environments.
