Solar Technician I (Solar)

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Casa Grande or Chandler, AZ

What you will do

• Perform corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance on inverters, transformers, battery modules, and DC/AC collection equipment.
• Execute electrical troubleshooting, repair, and instrumentation calibration.
• Prepare and implement switching and clearance orders for power plant systems.
• Manage site vegetation using tractors, mowers, and other maintenance equipment.
• Develop and update plant orders, procedures, and operating instructions.
• Ensure all activities comply with environmental and safety requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic knowledge of electrical or mechanical fundamentals (single craft journeyman skills).
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Proficiency with standard business software and PC operation.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments with varying temperatures and heights.

Nice to have

• Technical degree, Solar, or Energy Storage certification.
• Experience in energy storage system installation.
• Experience with SCADA and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Proficiency in Spanish and Portuguese.
