ICM Caseworker

TL;DR

ICM Caseworker (Social Services): Providing strengths-based case management for vulnerable refugees and asylees with an accent on removing barriers to safety and wellness. Focus on developing individualized self-sufficiency plans, navigating healthcare systems, and providing crisis intervention.

Location: Richmond, VA, USA (Hybrid: office, remote, and field work)

Salary: $25.37–$28 per hour

What you will do

• Conduct intake assessments and determine client eligibility for ICM programming.
• Develop and evaluate individualized SMART self-sufficiency plans for clients.
• Help clients navigate healthcare and social service systems and apply for benefits.
• Perform community outreach and maintain networks of local service providers.
• Respond to client crises and provide extended orientation on essential local services.
• Maintain detailed case documentation in the Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) database.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, public health, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 1-2 years of case management experience with similar populations.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal, insured vehicle.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools for data entry.
• Must be based in or able to work in Richmond, VA.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in languages spoken by client groups, such as Dari or Pashto.
