What you will do

• Conduct alcohol and drug abuse counseling sessions and support mental health counseling based on program and clinician qualifications.
• Implement and revise patient treatment plans, document progress, and maintain complete, organized patient records.
• Run group counseling sessions as required and orient patients to program operations and procedures.
• Perform intake/readmission services and provide supportive follow-up counseling until assignment to a primary counselor.
• Document all patient contacts, coordinate with other community providers, and make appropriate referrals with follow-up.
• Provide crisis intervention/support when primary counselors are unavailable and perform OBOT services as required.

Requirements

• CADC or LADC credential/licensure.
• Must comply with federal and state regulations for certification, licensure, and degree.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s degree may be required with expanded duties.
• If not adequately licensed at hire, must be enrolled in or willing to begin a formal course of study/track toward licensure.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; sound judgment with confidential and sensitive issues.
• Basic computer/word processing skills and ability to work independently under pressure while handling multiple tasks.
