Healthcare Integration Engineer (AI)

Location: Must be based in or able to work on-site in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY

Compensation: $150,000 – $290,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Design integrations grounded in real healthcare workflows and EHR configurations.
• Resolve customer-specific EHR complexities including scheduling, permissions, and identity management.
• Guide EHR and IT teams through application registration, access provisioning, and workflow testing.
• Partner with Sales and Engineering to assess integration feasibility and scope projects.
• Shape the healthcare integration roadmap by evaluating vendor capabilities and emerging needs.
• Develop reference designs and implementation guides to streamline future deployments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in healthcare interoperability or EHR implementation.
• Deep expertise in at least one major EHR ecosystem (e.g., Epic, athenahealth, Oracle Health, eClinicalWorks, MEDITECH).
• Practical knowledge of patient-access workflows such as scheduling, registration, or referral management.
• Technical fluency in healthcare integrations including FHIR, HL7v2, vendor APIs, or file-based exchange.
• Proven track record of taking third-party integrations through deployment and go-live.
• Strong communication skills to lead discovery with EHR analysts and operational teams.

Nice to have

• Epic certifications (Bridges, Cadence, Prelude, or Interconnect).
• Experience across multiple EHR vendors or health systems.
• Hands-on software development experience (TypeScript, Go, or Python).
• Experience using SQL or scripts to investigate integration issues.
