Salary: $180,000 – $390,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Design and build core healthcare integration primitives enabling AI agents to connect safely with EHRs and systems of record.
• Own production integrations with platforms such as Epic, athenahealth, Oracle Health, and eClinicalWorks using FHIR, HL7, and APIs.
• Develop reusable platform capabilities for healthcare data access, authentication, authorization, and auditability.
• Partner with Agent Engineers to implement workflows like appointment scheduling, patient intake, and care navigation.
• Serve as a technical SME for customers' EHR, IT, and security teams to define implementation plans.
• Establish standards for safe agent actions, including validation, permissions, and PHI/data privacy safeguards.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, operating at or above a Senior level.
• Deep experience shipping production healthcare integrations under HIPAA, security, and privacy constraints.
• Strong technical fluency with FHIR, HL7, OAuth/SMART-style authorization, and EHR-specific APIs.
• Hands-on experience building integrations with major EHRs (Epic, athenahealth, etc.).
• Ability to interface directly with customer technical executives, security teams, and operations leaders.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

• Experience building or deploying AI/LLM systems in production.
• Prior experience as a founder or founding engineer.
• Familiarity with RAG pipelines, eval frameworks, agent tooling, and prompt engineering.
• Technical proficiency with Go, TypeScript, and React.
