Staff Software Engineer (Developer Experience)

Location: Remote with occasional travel to the New York City headquarters

Salary: $275,000–$300,000 annually, plus equity incentives and benefits

What you will do

• Lead team-level technical strategy and execution across multi-quarter initiatives.
• Use AI to build, optimize, and maintain software systems.
• Raise the technical bar and mentor engineers across the organization.
• Collaborate across disciplines to understand the healthcare domain and improve projects.
• Protect user privacy and security through engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience leading engineering teams and influencing technical strategy.
• Generalist mindset with the ability to learn new languages, frameworks, and techniques in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Experience building complex systems with AI coding agents, including Claude Code.
• Ability to learn quickly and mentor others.
• Familiarity with data security and HIPAA compliance.
