Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, United States

Salary: $190,000–$240,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Design, build, and ship scalable healthcare products from MVP through mature, production-ready systems.
• Develop full-stack features across user interfaces, APIs, data models, background jobs, and third-party integrations.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Operations, customers, healthcare professionals, founders, and engineering teammates.
• Structure ambiguous patient workflows that span multiple systems and make practical technical tradeoffs.
• Build reliable software that complies with HIPAA and other security standards.
• Contribute to architecture, design, and development decisions while working with a high degree of autonomy.

Requirements

• 4–8+ years of industry experience with demonstrated impact at a major technology company or high-growth startup.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and experience designing, building, and scaling production-grade applications or systems.
• Experience building full-stack web applications.
• Comfort working with APIs, relational data models, asynchronous workflows, and third-party integrations.
• Relevant stack experience includes TypeScript, React, Next.js, Python, FastAPI, and Postgres; experience with every technology is not required.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in San Francisco.
