Senior Product Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in New York City or San Francisco, United States

Salary: $180,000–$240,000 base salary plus equity

What you will do

• Build patient experiences for onboarding, AI consultations, health records, prescriptions, physician visits, and follow-up care.
• Connect AI consultations with clinical workflows so patients can move from guidance to treatment.
• Turn clinical and AI capabilities into clear product features with appropriate safeguards.
• Build tools and integrations for clinicians and healthcare partners.
• Improve performance, accessibility, privacy, and reliability across web and mobile applications.
• Use coding agents to investigate, implement, test, review, debug, and automate engineering work, then improve features using product feedback.

Requirements

• Experience shipping user-facing products across frontend and backend systems.
• Strong skills in at least one part of the stack and the ability to work effectively across the rest.
• Good product judgment and attention to interface quality.
• Ability to define and deliver solutions when requirements are incomplete.
• Daily experience directing coding agents and verifying the correctness of their output.
• Sound judgment regarding privacy, security, accessibility, reliability, and maintainability, with clear communication across clinical, product, design, AI, and operations teams.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of professional experience.
• Experience in healthcare, fintech, AI products, or another regulated field.
• Experience with Next.js, React, TypeScript, Swift, Kotlin, Python, FastAPI, MariaDB, SQLAlchemy, Redis, Celery, Docker, AWS ECS, healthcare APIs, or FHIR-based workflows.
